ABOUT ASHTON

I'm the CFO Who Asks the Question No One Else Has Asked Yet.

I'm Jami, founder of Ashton Business Services. I work with founder-led product brands doing roughly $1M–$5M that are growing fast and still feel one bad month away from trouble. My job is to connect your cash, profit, inventory and debt, tell you the truth about what the business can safely afford, and help you decide what comes next.

A focused conversation. Real answers. No sales pitch.

MY STORY

Why I Do

This Work

“The problem was never a lack of numbers. It was that no one was connecting them.”

JAMI ASHTON — FOUNDER, ASHTON BUSINESS SERVICES

After more than 15 years in accounting, I kept meeting the same founder. Revenue climbing. Bookkeeping and a CPA in place. And still lying awake wondering whether they could afford the next inventory order.

I watched businesses grow their revenue while their debt grew right alongside it. Founders were working harder than ever, yet cash was always tight, and they were making inventory, hiring and growth decisions without knowing what the business could actually support.

The problem was never a lack of numbers. It was that no one was connecting them and saying, plainly, “Here’s what this means, and here’s what I’d do.”

That’s why I built Ashton Business Services: to close the gap between having financial information and knowing what to do with it. To stop reporting only what happened last month and start showing founders what’s coming next.

Because growing a business should create more freedom, not more financial stress. And no founder should have to run their business from the bank balance, or carry those decisions alone.

HOW I THINK

What I Believe

These are the beliefs behind every forecast I build and every conversation I have with a founder. They’re also how you’ll know whether we’re a good fit.

  • You don’t need more financial reports.

    You need answers.

  • Revenue is not the same as financial capacity.

A record sales month can still leave you short on cash.

  • Growth should be financially designed, not financially survived.

The plan comes before the purchase order.

  • The goal isn’t to predict the future perfectly.

It’s to understand your options before the future arrives.

  • Truth over reassurance.

I’ll tell you what the numbers say, even when it isn’t the answer you hoped for.

THE PARTNERSHIP

How We Work

I start by finding out what your numbers can be trusted to say, then build a forward plan around cash, profit and the decisions in front of you. Behind me is a team that keeps your books clean and your reports current, so our time together goes to decisions, not data entry.

WHAT I DO

Decide what’s next

Cash forecasts, profit by product and channel, and a straight answer on what the business can safely afford next.

WHAT MY TEAM DOES

Keep the numbers right

Accurate, up-to-date books every month, so every forecast starts from the truth.

CLIENT PERSPECTIVE

From losing sleep to planning for growth.

“Before, I was losing sleep and constantly worried about how we would get through the next month. Now, we can breathe again. We are paying for things without constantly relying on our credit lines, we are putting money away, and we are finally in a healthy position to plan for growth.”
